I’ve been pretty busy!
Pink lacy baby blanket:
This bad boy (girl?) was started sometime last year. Long story short, it was a different project where I only needed one skien. said project ended up with lots of booboos so I frogged it and decided to turn it into a diagonal baby blanket. I THOUGHT I would have enough, alas I didn’t. A very awesome lady from Craftster sent me some yarn to finish it, so finish it I shall!
Pink baby Coordinates (Bernat?) size 6 needle
Raccoon Scarf:
Being made for Whitepaws, the roomie. Its moss (or seed, always get those 2 confused) stitch. Nothing fancy but its working up VERY nicely. Size 9 needle, Lion Brand Homespun.
And of course my GIANT CROCHET BLANKET OF DOOM is still underway. I had to stop working on it due to just plain running out of yarn/money. But that’s okay, its a personal project.
2 ATCs:
Haven’t decided how to finish these yet :( Packing tape transfer technique and plastic wrap background technique with watercolors.
Gluebook/artjournal pages:
After seeing this video on YouTube I was thinking… WHY DON’T I DO THAT?! of course I have a gluebook (these pages are all 8.5″x11″, my gluebook is much smaller) and I have an altered book of techniques, so I technically AM doing that… but I liked the idea of just going nuts in ONE book. Since I’m not going to be able to get the book I want anytime soon, I started building the pages individually. I realized after a bunch were “done” that I should have been building them on VERY THIN paper instead of regular printer-type paper. Thus, I started doing that, so they’ll be less bulk in the book. I plan on drawing/painting/whatever in the book also. It’s going to be like an artjournal/gluebook/alteredbook. Some pages will be more like a glue book, some more like an art journal, you get the idea. So yeah, that’s what that’s all about ;-)
I’m counting them all as WIPs for now.
ATCs:
Used the plastic wrap and watercolor background technique, which was awesome. Used the packing tape transfer method, which was even more awesome. Image from Vogue. That Chinese symbol is beneath the tape and it means “Energy”. The bamboo stuff on the side was a stencil from Wal-mart. That’s the only ACT I’ve done for ages :-( I don’t know if I’ll be able to part with this card.
Washcloths:
Garter Drop Stitch - Daisy ombre Peaches n Cream cotton yarn, size 6 needle, pattern from here. Made a Chinese Waves one but it turned out poorly and I can’t find the pic off hand.
….
SOOO I think that’s it! I haven’t done any new canvas work, but I do need to upload the stuff I did in January.
