Dvorak update!

My Dvorak speed is randomly esculating. However, typos are running more and more rampant.

The layout of the keys still makes great sense. It is brilliant. However, I do not see why it would allow a person to type faster. I might be able to believe there is more comfort, but that is way too difficult to determine at this point.

As for typos, I keep hitting O instead of L and W instead of M. But that seems to be the extent of that. I think.

I am starting to strongly doubt in my ability to learn to touch type Dvorak. Simply because I have Querty so engraved in my skull that I can type novels in my sleep.

But that does not mean that I will not try. I am already doing better at this than I thought I was going to do. It very rarely get to the point of Hunt&Peck right now.

Not much else to say, I reckin’.

I Am Leet

I am now typing using the Dvorak keyboard layout. It is starting to make my head hurt. I have broke out a sweat.

So now you all will know why I will be typing slow.

Owwie.

A few hours later with Dvorak

Whelp. It has been a few hours since I started the Dvorak keyboard layout.

I am sure it is safe to say that my Dvorak typing speed has already increased. It is no longer giving me that over whelming feeling of being dislexik. Um. That is spelled wrong. Terribly wrong.

It is starting to make more and more sense. I am not completly happy with where the punctuations are placed, but that is fine by me.

There can be quite a few arguements about weather this is really a better way to type or not. I would like to think that it is different person to person. Who knows, maybe it is a placebo and it convinces the mind to type faster only because people say it is. That possibility had crossed my mind before Cralg brought it up after he heard about my new challenge.

If it is a placebo and it does help my typos and (hopefully) my (suspected) RSI, then I certainly see no harm in sticking to this.

On Querty, my WPM reached around 100. If and when I reach that on Dvorak, I won’t be trying to go faster, unless I get real curious. I like being forced to type this slow because it really helps to slow down and organize my thoughts. I reeaaally like that. Makes me feel more ln control.

Okay my head and eyes are really tired and hurting fron looking down. Time for sleep.
