So Yesterday’s appointment went as well as you’d expect it to go when you’re watching the dentist putting weird things in your mouth.

It was crown lengthening. So so I’ve got some stitches along the gums of my bottom teeth. I swear this guy that does this is obsessed with perfect teeth and gums :-p

So I slept all day (it was a short appointment I think, just a few hours) and woke up…. I don’t know when. It was still dark. I think it was today. My face is all swollen up and gums are sore (umm duh?) and hurts to eat blahblah. All in all its expected and I feel fine about it. I have to get the stitches out in 2 weeks which means PUTTING OFF EUGENE FOR TWO FUCKING WEEKS! >.<

And I went poking around on SL and got myself a bunny av for my alt…. ZOMG she’s so cute.

AND I’ve been eagerly awaiting Katie’s package ^-^ It should be here very very soon, if it gets here today at all…

On the NaNo front: I’m almost 5,000 words behind! Which wouldn’t panic me so much if I actually know more about what I was writing.

Normally, writing a novel is like walking through a dark cave with a flashlight. You go along with your light pointed ahead of you and you can see some of whats coming. This year, I’m like the retarded OCD jerk (Mr Bean?)… slowly working my way through the cave but my light isn’t pointed ahead, its pointing down and I’m wandering off to the side and poking at rocks and… you get the idea.

Whitepaws keeps joking that I should just write a 50k porn novel.

I’m SO very tempted!

So Friday I had another dental appointment.  One of the big ones.  It went very well though it seems like every time they dope me up for these things I’m more and more aware of whats going on.  Which is FINE.  Its a blast trying to figure out whatthefuck they’re doing to me and its not like I’m in pain.

Only complaint is the back of one’s head tends to get rather sore after awhile.  It took awhile before I had the chance to ask for a pillow and once I got it… ahhhh bliss. :-p

At some point the sun was in my eyes and they put a towel over my eyes to block it out and it was really relaxing.  Doesn’t sound like it would at the dentist but it was LOL

Sooo… I don’t know… we’re almost done with this whole ordeal.

Oh, I now have 12 million galleons of vicodin or whatever at my disposal LOL

So I think I finally slept off all the drugs and I’m ready to start stamping up a storm or knit or whatever.  I’ve got a million projects underway which is fun.  I have no excuse to get but but somehow I still do.

I got back from Eugene on Thursday the 5th, just in time to run into Allen Creek Dental to sign some paperwork and make sure my blood pressure and whatnot was okay.

That night we rented Bee movie (saw it with my dad) and Whitepaws really liked it. Then one neither of us have seen- National Treasure 2. It was great! Not the bestest movie ever, but it was quite enjoyable.

On to the Dental Woes!

It went great! Although I swear, every time they put me under, I’m more and more “aware”. This doesn’t bother me because I’m not in pain and all the gadgetry they use is fascinating… from what I can tell O.o And I can always tell when its near quittin’ time ’cause I start wiggling my legs around.

So now I have a cap way back on a tooth on the right side, the pulled the ebil one, and it looks like i might have 2 caps on the teeth in front of the pulled one O.o It -looks- like it anyway. That cap in the back in going to take some getting used to. It feel weeeird. Not bad though.

I get to go in in 11 days to get my stitches out. Huzzah! Because apparently they did some more gum extension… teeth… extension… whatever you call it.

… good gods it was a harrowing experience having all my top teeth capped up in permanents all in one sitting with no druuuuges. Don’t get me wrong, the dentist lady and all the people there absolutely rock it. Hardcore.

Anyway… there was one permanent that would NOT come off. They pulled and pulled and it hurt like, you know, someone was trying to pull your tooth out (I DO have -all- of my teeth on top, they just all needed cap/crown thingies, some root canals also). they eventually had to CUT THE DAMN THING OFF! *twitch*

Thankfully she numbed the area up before cutting on the temp. It was pretty sore (and continues to hurt now, after the stuff wore off). But holy shit… she is very good with her needles. I only felt one little tiny prick (you know, like how they say in the movies) and it actually numbed that spot up like it was supposed to. That stuff NEVER worked very well when I was little O.o

You’d think this would put my mind at ease. But I lived with those temps falling out so often for so long that I just can’t trust these yet. I’ll trust them when I can chew on Butterfinger rocks without even a little wiggle. That and they had to adjust my bite with some cement gunky stuff all over my lower teeth. This… is uncomfortable. Because I have to eat with that stuff and… gah. Its like the equivalent of having perms it. They might just randomly fall off, too. I lost one piece before >.<

There is only one thing that went wrong. Possibly 2. 3 if you count the temp that wouldn’t come off.

The first is… one of the permanent crowns wasn’t fitting like how Dr M wanted it to fit so she’s sending it back to the lab type people for adjustment. Not such a big deal.

What IS a big deal however, is I either have a broken tooth on the bottom right side or its a broken piece of that gunky cement stuff. At first I thought it was tooth when I looked in the mirror. Then I was like… “No way, that doesn’t make sense”. But I didn’t remember them ever putting that stuff on that tooth. Of course that doesn’t mean anything.

I do recall when I was supposed to bite down on some stuff to help seat the back couple permanent crowns, I felt a crunch back there. I didn’t think too much of it because those crown things sort of do that sometimes. But thinking about it now… that “broken tooth” on the bottom -also- crunched. I think O.o Which would explain why that piece of whatever is sort of wiggling and sort of pinching some gum and has a very visible crack near the gum line and why it bled a bit after I poked and investigated it.

So I’ll prolly call the dentist here in an hour or two. Or get Whitepaws to do it ’cause I hate the phone and I don’t like the idea of talking right now with that going on in there. Yes, I’m overly paranoid :-(

I’ve been so paranoid I haven’t gone to bed. I don’t want to… don’t make me go to bed. Or eat. :-(

Arg! Finally, something within sight!

I was at the dentist today for my follow up from Friday’s procedure.

Looks like I can get my final impressions this Friday and my real-fake top teethies will be in after 3 weeks. Yay! SQUEE!

And they’re going to get their heads together on when they can get a team together to work on my bottom teeth. They’re going to clean out the decay and put in some… composite or whatever… so they’re not just, you know…

Man, the end is in sight. Sounds like I -might- be all together by my birthday ^-^

And now, some stuffs I’m playing with at the moment. I’ve seen this folky-art style eeeeverywhere. So I figured, why not do as the Romans do? Its very cute and sweet, which is fun.
