Besides being hooked to Animal Crossing: Wild World for a couple weeks and neglecting EVERYTHING (’cept showering and changing my panties), today I started reading a book. On PAPER. Gasp :-p And then my eyes started bleeding from all the intense reading, so decided to blog about the book real quick whilst poking my AC:WW gates open.
Okay I’m too lazy to go look at the author, but Runaway Me is a very fascinating book. It’s the story of a 15 year old boy who runs away from home in, I believe, 1983. True story, yo.
Nothing surprising, except how much of a fucktard the kid is. But a very good read, yup.
I’d love to read more of these types of books, from runaways from different ages, eras, and hoooboy, one from a female runaway! Wouldn’t that be fascinating? I honestly expect much raping and much sucking of the cock, just to get by. Either that or maybe she has super muscles/m4d fighting sk1llz. (you’d understand why I’m saying this if you understood what this GUY had to go through, and I’ve barely started the book!).
Yeah, read it.

Now I know why this book is so popular. I saw this at an emergency run to Micheal’s (heh… emergency craft run…), flipped through it and fell in love. This is one of the few books I’ve seen where I think I actually like nearly every pattern. I spoiled myself and got it (along with a really nice dragon drawing book, but that’s for another time…).
I think I may have to try the Spiderweb Capelet first, in a different yarn and I’d like to see it longer. So yeah, I can’t wait to dive in.

Current Mood:
drained

Booya! My book came in the mail today! (no, not the Blood Rose one… still waiting impatiently on that…). It took long enough for this one but the lady I bought it from had a funeral to attend to, so you know. That’s life.
I am so looking forward to making these! I think I shall start with Sophisti-Cat. I wish I could have found out more about this book but I couldn’t find much info on it or anyone’s experience.
What drew me to this book is:
1. Kitties! Yay!
2. ANTHRO-KITTIES! YAY!!1eleventy!!1
3. The coo’ costume themes.
4. They remind me of the very sexy Alley Cat Figurines which are just stunning in real life. But highly breakable. And you can’t play wif ‘em :) (though that’s never stopped me before…)
So I’m thinking I can just go ahead and make one kitty then all the costumes to follow, then even make up my own costumes. And the book doesn’t say whether I can sell what I make or not, but I imagine these would make great gifts to somebody. I don’t know who.
*note to self: make more friends*
Oh yeah, I ganked the picture of the book from Annie’s Attic.
