Bah! I would have finished more Home Impressions design stuff but I lost some pre-made stuff and by the time I found them I ran out of steam! :-p

As always, these look a million times better in person. Especially the first two.

Oh, I just found out I like Radiohead. Correction, I LOVE Radiohead! O.O

Anyway. New finished ATC for Ria:

Named because I used Fiskar’s decorative scissors called “Imperial” and birds make songs. So there.

There’s a lot more going on in this ATC that it looks like… so… its a little bit better looking in person. I’m going to have a hard time letting go of some of these ATCs. I’ll have to make copies for myself eventually :)

I used a Home Impressions (fairy) stamp and an Autumn Leaves (swirl) stamp though you can’t really tell, and a When the Rubber Hits the Road (bird) and a Skipping Stones Designs stamp (diamonds), though you can hardly tell on that last one either.

So…. there’s that one which I know is finished and then there’s this one here which… I don’t know. What do you think guys?

“Fairy Treasures”

I think I’m still going to call it a work in progress. Its got some little bits glued on it and its really distressed looking. I never could pull the distress look off very well, even with distress ink.

Again, used Home Impressions stamp.

And here’s some other stamping I did. There’s more but they’re not all cut out and tweaked:

Home Impressions and When the Rubber Hits the Road.

They’ll prolly turn into ATCs. I hope Ria doesn’t mind a flood of ATCs. I seem to be on that kick right now :-p

Oh, and I told the Design Team I was going to make some stationary/letterhead stuff. I think I’m going to wait ’til I get some nice quality paper, maybe even colored, so I don’t have ink bleed through.

And wouldn’t some self-mailers be fun?

Art is Magic ATC

artismagicatc-215x300 Art is Magic ATC

Yay, two posts in one day :)

So I’ve got 3 Home Impression stamps mounted to play with so far. Above is my first ATC made with them. They’re absolutely gorgeous stamps. They’re like… androgynous elves/fairies or something. They’re also a bit of a challenge for me to play with because… let’s face it, I am -not- an advanced stamper. I don’t have fancy toys or abilities. This makes my style usually pretty simple, which I love.

The Specs:

Hand painted some watercolor paper with watercolors. One sheet was greens, the other yellowy. Cut up a bunch of ATC size out of the yellowy.

Inked this stamp with Versafine Onyx Black. Stamped on green paper, cut out.

I used a gold metallic Gelz pen to go around the boarder of the cut out stamped image.

I used Tim Holtz (sexxy!) Concord Grape Distress Ink around edge of card. Yes, I tend to overuse this technique ^-^

I used my Fiskar’s ScrapBoss and a Fiskar texture embossing plate thingy to emboss on a little bit of that swirly stuff. Who doesn’t love swirls?

Ran some Yellow Citrus ColorBox fluid chalk ink over the embossed bits. I believe I also did some Lime Pastel.

Then I decided I didn’t like the gold edging around the stamped image, so I took my Silver ColorBox inkpad to it.

Took an UltraFine Sharpie and wrote Art is Magic. I wrote it on a test piece of the same paper first, it came out lovely. Then I did it on my card and it was just -begging- to bleed >.<

Used 2 Way Glue from Zig Memory System to glue the stamped image on. Placement was fun to figure out.

Then I used some Twinklette glitter markers and a green Gelz glittery pen to add some final sparklings.

Then I cut off the itty bitty excess bits that hung off. It looked neat, but I figure for an ATC to better not be poking out anywhere.

So there.

Is the bolding annoying? I can’t decide if I like it or not.

flyatc-300x210 Fly ATC

A new ATC!

While I was patiently waiting for Whitepaws to mount some of my Home Impression stamps, I was playing with one of my cheapo Dollar Tree stamps and my nice new Gelz gel pens.

Its cute, its bright, its sparkly, its simple & fun.

Will trade for your sooooul!

Or I’ll settle for an ATC or something :-p

The purple is glittery, the darkblue is metallic. Done on handpainted watercolor paper.

Now… to go play with some androgynous fairies…

2 finish sexy transfer ATCs

I finished those 2 ATCs I showed earlier. All they needed was some text stolen from a comic and a nice ink pad edging. You just can’t do the ink pad edging too much.

Images stolen from Vogue and turned into transparencies via packing tape. Don’t sue me. I have no money.
