…. because I have lots of time on my hands being homeless and jobless ^-^

I’ve found a new shape.  While I really liked my other one and my doll face, nobody else liked it and that was… bad for business I think.  So my new shape is made by LCC.  I made the boobs a lot bigger than I usually have them.

When I changed my shape, it just didn’t work with my old hair (Bish’s Entice).  It was way too big for my face.  So I got a special hair from Magika, my new favorite hair place.  It was free, yay.  Its called Peace & Love or something like that.

I’ve been feeling… romantic? I love this dress here.  Its from Bare Rose (B@R).  Its called Allure and comes in several colors.  Buy it now!

So now we have Runaway, also from B@R.  I don’t wear it a while lot but I likes it.  Thats a random hair from my inventory.

And theeen… time to get slutty.  I got this outfit from… somewhere *shrugs*.  I’ll check later.  The hair is Rika from Magika.

And for something way cool: Sexy Ravenclaw! By RMC.

I have oodles more.  I’m a huge fan of B@R (in case you couldn’t tell…).  But I’ll save more pics for later.  I guess the whole point of posting these is to give others ideas of how to spiff themselves up ^-^

Linden Labs, suck my bleeding ass.

You see, they came out with a new version of their client awhile ago but they still let us use the older version.  They said “we give you the choice of upgrading” or something along those lines.

I tried that new client over and over again… it wouldn’t work for me.  It crashed as soon as I started moving.  Nothing I can do about it.  So I thought… no biggie, I’ll just use this older client.

Today… they forced upgrades.  …..

…..

………………….

>.<

I tried the latest version…

……

Look at the title of this post again.  Do you think it fucking WORKED? >.<

Today I was so excited.  I got my $56.something from the stuff I sold on Zazzle and decided to spoil myself and buy a a ton of Lindens.  Welll what a waste of my fucking money.

>.<

Yes I can use my parent’s computers… my mom’s during the day when she’s at work… my dad’s sleep schedual is as random as mine but… I’m thinking of pulling all my money out and just… quitting.

There goes my one other chance at making real money.

I’m so incredibly fucked… soo soooooo fucked.

As always, clicky for bigger version ^-^

I found a place called Poetic Realms awhile back on Second Life.  Its a big sim that has a buncha pretty areas to hang out.  Its fun finding the looking nooks and crannies.  They also have a club sort of thing thats 3 story.  Bottom floor is dancing, middle has puzzles, top has… a fencing game! How cool is that? I didn’t know you could fence in SL! I’m sure there’s a lot of things I don’t know about though.

Feral and I played the other night.  I had to do a screenie.

That’s my usual bunny hair.  It works really well even though its not the greatest hair.

Also, that yellowish disk thing is my Xcite tail.  My bunny tail is no mod so I can’t add my Xcite scripts to it.  So I make a spehere, put the scripts in it, made it transparent and tried my best to get it situated over my tail.  Yes, I still need to do an Xcite post.

Oh yeah, that’s my men’s Casablanca outfit from Bare Rose.

Man I’ve been a post whore lately.  Must be residue of NaNo still in my fingers.  Can’t stop typing.

Awhile back I created an alt account and I got a bunny for her (long story behind all that).  I fell in loooooove with her and would miss her whenever I was on my main account.  I had almost bought Lost Furest’s Latte Bunneh a couple times and then… finally I caved and got it.  I’m in love.  I’ve always been a cat type person so its been a weird adjustment.

I normally dress her a lot more casually… comfy jeans and a floral t-thirt… but I wanted to show off her markings.  Xeen Arida as bunny with my human hair.  Not sure if I like that hair on my bunny.  Opinions?

Ok… I had fun this NaNo and added myself (as my SL self) to my NaNo novel this year.  She’s a gypse sort of race and looks exactly like:

Pic taken at some place where they sell ships.

And here’s me with my friend Ashish, at the Galaxy.  We were standing still for a few minutes ’cause the lady’s ass we were riding crashed (lol… if you don’t know SL you won’t know what that means):

Xeen Arida on Stripping/Dancing in Second Life

Just about everything is packed to leave for Eugene in the morning ^-^

I’ve had a lot of spare time in Second Life lately.  Seems that I’m down to one job, which is my favorite: renting out houses.  All my other jobs as dancer/stripper keep… going away O.o  Well I quit my first one because I wasn’t making anything.  Second one I was really dedicated to a new place that shut down.  Third place… not exactly sure what happened there but it seems like there’s some slacking going on.

But apparently I found a new SL job…

I walked into a place the other day looking for a terminal (for Xcite items, more on that another time ^-^).  I go in there and… its obviously a smeeeexxy place.  Like… hardcore O.o  So I’m about ready to get out of there and find my Xcite kiosk elsewhere because the few people that were there were noticing me (yes I’m anti-social on SL heheh).  But this lady comes up to me, saying how gorgeous I am and asks me if I’m a dancer.  I say yes, she said she could tell, etc etc flatter flatter.

Then I get an invite to join their group which cost just enough that I couldn’t buy the 2 Xcite items I came there to get… but you know I wanted to be polite and it wasn’t that much anyway to join.  Then she tells me to think about dancing there.  I asked to apply and she said I didn’t have to, as long as I’m in the group I can dance.  Woowhoo.

Dancing & Stripping in Second Life

I’m writing this because when I considered ways to make money in SL, I couldn’t find anything helpful to start with.  I’m now considering not dancing anymore at all (I don’t know why, I’ll think about it later).  But I wanted to share what I’ve learned thus far.

First let me say I don’t consider myself a pro.  I’ve been doing this for a few months so I know the ropes but… I’m not sure I’m a good dancer.  I’ve been told as much but I really don’t know.  My second dancing job I got because a customer liked what he saw (someone who was intelligent and not stuck up… his words!) and reccomended me to his new club.  Also note that there are quite a few places where a dancer may be asked to be an escort.

I do -not- escort.

And one more thing to say up front.  When I decided to take my first job I was incredibly nervous.  I didn’t want to screw up and I didn’t know how to work the pole right so I was doing the same dance the whole time my first night.  I screwed up my tipping levels and didn’t take off my shirt when I was supposed to… arg just… I was a wreck.  So if you’re nervous… don’t worry! You’ll warm up to it.  It’ll be like second nature. I mean me, of all people…I’m really just a huge flirtatious prude! So if I can do it, I think anybody could if they wanted to.

So…

For those of you not in the know… pole dancing is exactly that.  You’re a cold, digital smexy body dancing on a pole.  You click on it, you pick a dance, your booty obeys.  I never thought about pole dancing before playing SL, in in RL or otherwise.  It looks incredibly fun actually and it can be as innocent, sexy or slutty as you want.  Or… depending on the dances loaded into the pole.

You can pick the dances individually but I like to put it on random because I love randomness and it allows more spontaeous emoting and gets my attention freed to interact with others.

Adding stripping to the equation is simple.  People pay you (or rather, your tip jar so the house gets their cut) and once you reach a certain amount, you remove clothes.  Usually its 100 to 150 to remove tops, another 100 or 150 to remove bottoms.  Shoes and stuff stay on.  I worked at the Damned where you worked with tops, then pants/skirt, then panties.

Being a dancer is easy if you’re just going to dick your way through it. I’ve heard of people getting on the pole, leaving their puters to do housework and just wait for the tips to come in.  No! Don’t do that! Bad stripper, no tip for you!

Yes there are days when you won’t get tipped much or at all… especially when the gay male host brings in all his cheap gay male friends >.<

If you want to do good for your club, dancing/stripping is -hard-.

As your body moves about the pole, you emote.  Well, good dancers emote (describe their actions).  A better dancer gets the crowd involved.

You can describe your actions just as however you want to.  But I like to work off of what my avatar is doing. I do do things that my avatar isn’t doing though.  It might be a 50/50 deal.  And I make these up off the top of my head.  I don’t copy and paste because I’m always wearing something different and I don’t want to sound “canned”.  I have seen repeated emotes from strippers before.

I also tayler my emotes to the event sometimes… like an event once at the Damned it was “ABC: Anything But Clothing” theme.  I had a dreamcatcher on my chest, barely covering my nipples, and slice of cheesecake on a plate on my ass and an apple… well lets say it was safely tucked away ^-^ I kept including fun little emotes about the chesecake melting a bit, getting on the pole, so I’d lick the pole, etc.  Use your enviroment and clothes!

An even better dancer, in my opinion, will keep with the /me emote format and keep in 3rd person, use correct grammar and punctuation.  This is actually pretty rare.  These ladies with terrible emoting still get tips so I guess it doesn’t matter, but those emotes reflect myself and the club so I do as well as I can.

When I take a piece of clothing off, more often than not I thank the tipper by giving them that article somehow.  Always thank your tippers, no matter how much they give you! Smaller tips get smaller bits of attention, larger tips get… lots more attention ^-^

I’ve really poured my heart into some emotes, especially as my rent day comes closer :-p

May I also suggest that you do not beg for tips.  I have seen this twice.  It was painful to watch.  The first time it was a fellow dancer, the second time I was a costomer.  If you feel the need for tips, tease the audiance.  Let some skin show for a minute, allowing yourself to cool down in the heat of the club.  Flirting and being a spiffy person like me helps too ^-^

Be prepared.  I’m lazy, I’m hardly ever prepared.  It was extra rough at the Damned because of clothes layering issues and working with three levels of stripping rather than 3.  You never know what sort of wardrobe malfuction you’ll run across.

Hmm I know I have some more tips in my head somewhere…

Oh yeah.  You don’t have to be a total slut on the pole.  The sexiest thing is power of the mind… suggestion.  Sort of like the difference between porn and erotica or show, don’t tell.  This is not to say that I’ve totally whored my emotes up.  I do depending on the club and the audiance and such.  Mostly I whore it up with other dancers.

Also, no matter the club, I start my emotes out innocent enough and they get… I don’t know… kinkier.  Depends on how much I’m being tipping, how many clothes I’ve removed.  I don’t stick by this fully but would like to implement it more if I keep dancing.

One other thing I can say to follow up my comment above… I said to involve the crowd.  Let me expound on that.  There is a male dancer at the Galaxy who seems to think its his duty to emote/interact with me which is… fine to a small extent.  What annoys the shit out of me is he responds -for- me.  This is a huge no-no in role play.  You do not include someone else’s reactions in -your- emote. I felt this as a huge ivasion of my privacy.  I know! It sounds silly, right? But I didn’t like power playing!

I rarely see male strippers, I sort of wonder if that’s a guy thing O.o  *shrugs*

Okay, that’s all I can think of for now.  As always I’ll add more later if I think of anything.  If anybody has questions, lemme know, eh?

Oh, here’s an example emote… keeping in mind that /me is replaced by your name when you hit enter and it goes into chat:

/me stretches her long legs out wide, grinning out at the sexy crowd.  She bends over, her hair falling over her face as she runs her soft hands up the length of one leg.  Her fingertips tickle over the smooth skin of her thigh.  She lets out a soft moan as one hand disappears under her skirt for a moment, the nails of the other hand digging into the pale flesh of her thigh.

… ok they’re usually that length or a little shorter.  I hate reading really long ones and rarely read stripper spam anyway.  I try to write things that I would like IRL or at least like to read and sometimes just things that would cater to the crowd/my tipper.

Oh… something interesting I noticed is that SL stripping has been a bit bad for my writing and vice versa.  There’s a lot of “rules” you gotta break when you go from one to another.  I might go into that more another time.

So yeah… thats it for now!

… on a side note, I’m watching Stardust (in a little window on my laptop!) and completely forgot how much the star lady looks like Zyra (hair color and style) and acts like her.  Oh and I just LOVE the lighting pirates and captain! Those guys were AWESOME!!! *implodes*
