I’m a geek. Okay…. that’s not too much of a surprise I’m sure, but I mean… I’m a NERD. And I don’t mean in just the computer-nerd fashion. Here, let me show you:

Yeah… *sniffle* my dice. I’ve been looking all over for them. I had quite a handsome collection. Well… handsome enough to get my by. *sigh*
My other problem is… I haven’t RP’d for a good… 7ish years. And not counting one game I attempted with Whitepaws a couple years ago, I haven’t played M:TG for a good 10 years or more. Gods that makes me sound old.
I picked up my first deck of M:TG cards in high school. A nerd friend of mine taught me how to play and gave me the deck to loaned me to play because I won my first game. Actually I’ve won most, if not all games I played, but that’s honestly not saying much. I haven’t played many games. Prolly less than 10. And the ones I played against I’m sure weren’t any better at it than I was. It is a fun game though.
As far as good ol TTRPGs… well… I’m just no longer in contact with any of the people I used to play with. Some are in Eugene and some are whoknowswhere. My preferred gaming system is the White Wolf games because they’re not overly complicated like D&D… or at least D&D always seemed really complicated to me. It could have been my GM and the way it was presented. If you have a good GM, you’re gonna have a rockin’ time. If you have a bad one… well lets just say its sort of like the same with the quality of your sex parters.
Now, there are other systems out there I’d like to play with, but that probably won’t be happening anytime soon. I’ve only played with those 2, really.
But wait, there’s more! I have one other confession: I LOVE ORGANIZING!

870 cards in all, baby. Actually I don’t know if that’s an impressive amount or not. For a person who hasn’t played for 10+ years and played less than 10 games, its WAY TOO MANY CARDS.
I was going to continue organizing the cards by going by color, but I had other organizing to do: my crap. That is, my desk area. Was thinking of snapping a pic of that, but that wouldn’t have been as pretty as my nice little nerd shot. I’ve been stirring crap up for a bit now so I can go through it and toss stuff out. It was sitting around doing nothing for too long… the motivation from organizing the cards pushed me through the weeding out of crap in my crap. I ended up with 2+ trash bags full and tossed out a TON of clothes and some crafty stuff.
Then I started going through junk mail and magazines I was saving for glue booking (which I think I’m going to transform into visial/art journaling)… then started organizing the stuff I had cut out into a binder with page sleeves… why didn’t I think of that before? Put the cut out goodies in those clear page sleeve things and you can see everything at a glance. So I have one sleeve for each catagory of things I’ve been cutting out…. words/phrases, numbers, men, women, body parts, objects, graphics, embellishments and scenery. I think that’s it so far. I may have a sleeve for handwritten things. I could get anal on it, but I won’t. I’ll try not to, anyway. Its just so EASY to get carried away on categories and subcategories…
So that was pretty much my day today.

The FFXII
So last night I fired up Final Fantasy XII for the first time for awhile. I say “for awhile” because I had resigned myself to spending the next month or so (day and night, no less) leveling up my characters. Well, Whitey suggested we try out some cheat codes. Quite awhile and a headache later, we came up with L3 refreshes HP & MP! w00t on you, evil FF people.
Its so nice to be able to heal with no interruptions. That was half my problem of being slaughtered all the time: No time to heal properly!
So it was back to the Caves of Zertanin (?) and a big mean nasty ugly guy that was allergic to ice.
So everybody is somewhere between levels 33 & 36 (the later Fran hit at the last minute last night.) And I’ve been having fun doing the hunts! Woo! I like those. I FINALLY killed that damn White Mousse thing last night. Dammit >.<
The Pedophile Dream
Well yeah… there was this guy that was a pedophile. I ended up in his car driving around this town, of which had very strange architecture and setup. I remember hoping others saw me with him just in case something happened to me.
But I wasn’t really in danger, no matter how creepy I thought this guy was. ‘Cause he was more or less stalking this 12 year old girl, pretty much in open daylight. And I think that’s what he was doing with me, driving around this little down.
Eventually we got back, and of course a million different things were happening all at once and it was hard to keep track of. I remember he was asking me for a sanitary napkin, because apparently his victim was on her period. Ummmyeahthatsgrossnoyoucanthaveone. Ew.
So I eventually more or less became his babysitter and I was supposed to help him not think of this 12 year old girl. I don’t know how I did this, must have been shock therapy. But he was getting quite better… until right at the end, he had a big ‘ol huge nasty relapse.
Ew.

Dvorak update!
My Dvorak speed is randomly esculating. However, typos are running more and more rampant.
The layout of the keys still makes great sense. It is brilliant. However, I do not see why it would allow a person to type faster. I might be able to believe there is more comfort, but that is way too difficult to determine at this point.
As for typos, I keep hitting O instead of L and W instead of M. But that seems to be the extent of that. I think.
I am starting to strongly doubt in my ability to learn to touch type Dvorak. Simply because I have Querty so engraved in my skull that I can type novels in my sleep.
But that does not mean that I will not try. I am already doing better at this than I thought I was going to do. It very rarely get to the point of Hunt&Peck right now.
Not much else to say, I reckin’.
