Socks WIP
Ahahah! Technically my third sock ever, technically the 2nd toe up, technically the first that I’ve gotten past the heel :-p
I had to redo it several times because… it was… weird O.o And then I finally decided to just plow through and it ended up holy. So I was going to frog it back AGAIN but found out I put my lifeline on the TOP half of the sock. Yes, I was knitting my fucking heel on the top half of the foot all that time. >.<
That’s okay, I got it. I messed it up, sure, but I think I’ll practice heels on some scrap yarn before trying this sock’s mate. *pissy*
Other than that, I have enjoyed making this sock. It’s been fun and REALLY easy, except for the heel part… which was easy but I was doing it wrong. Does that make sense?
I think I’ll put these on some spare needles and go to my Technicolor Yawn’s mate, which is toe-up and still in the foot part. I can see how socks can be addicting :)
OH! And the yarn feel wooonderful on the toes! Who knew Caron Simply Soft could feel so… sexxy?
I only wish I had 2 skeins of this stuff so I could try 2 at once… Oh, and I used Lifestyle Toe-Up Socks - No Swatch Needed. And other than the blasted heel part, it was easy to follow. And I now could knit a sock without looking at a pattern. It’s -that- easy.
So here’s the Technicolor Yarn’s mate that has been in this exact stage for a long, long time (the finished one was top down):
I went to my LYS and the lady there helped me start it.
*ETA* Oh, and I was so incredibly bored alone in the quiet dark of Tuesday morning that I took pics of my entire yarn stash (except really small, used and abused balls) and put ‘em up on my Ravelry account. I wasn’t going to do that at first, but then I realized how handy it would be. And I haven’t got everything, but hey its a start.
